Cameron's First Birthday.

{Be prepared for a lot of pictures in this post!}

The day after Christmas, December 26th, on Cameron's first birthday we woke up ready to celebrate at the Watford's house!! Unfortunately our little Cam woke up quite a bit under the weather! We could just tell he wasn't his usual self :( 

When we woke up we played for a bit till everyone woke up and we gave Cameron a donut for breakfast. He wasn't sure about the candle but was definitely loving the donut! After breakfast we opened a card from Uncle Michael and Aunt Stacy and then the CamMan was ready for a nap!

After nap it was time to get up and get ready for the day! We got the CamMan up and got his bday outfit on and we were ready to meet April, Dustin and Emmaline for lunch at Momma G's!

After a yummy lunch we loaded up and headed towards Huntsville for more celebration and also our late Christmas with the Thaxton's. We ate at our regular favorite of Rosie's and Cam thought it was as delicious as a sick boy could! He did enjoy his cinnamon dessert though... and we enjoyed helping him eat it! After dinner we went back to Pappy and Gigi's and took some pictures!

Wade, Amy and Tatum went ahead and gave Cam part of his bday gift! A fun John Deere tractor toy and a sweet Kelly's Kids outfit! Thanks guys!!

Thankfully his birthday party was not until Sunday the 29th, so by then our little man was feeling a little better but still not quite himself! Before he was even born I was sure we would have a Robot themed first birthday since I sometimes call him Cam-Tron! I had a blast thinking/searching for all the details I wanted to incorporate into the decor and food! I made most of the decor and amazingly it turned out just as I imagined it in my head!

We are so proud to have made it through our first year with our little guy! Our happy little family:

We are so thankful for all of our family who came to celebrate with us! Cameron just doesn't know how loved he is!

Gigi got Cameron's crown for him and Cece got him his longall! Such great grandmothers!!

Cameron was also very very blessed with so many fun and great gifts!! He's one happy kiddo!

And for the moment you have all been waiting for... THE SMASH CAKE! Cam definitely took his time and slowly but surely dug in to the icing and goodness! After a few tastes he was all about it though! It was so cute to have a few of the cousins sneak a taste of icing while he was digging in!

I thought it all went smooth and was a lot of fun! We really appreciate all of you that came- it made it that much more special! Cam may not remember, but me and Matthew sure will!!
Can't believe our baby boy is ONE... So thankful for such a wonderful first year!

Cameron: 12 months.

ONE?? You have got to be kidding me. It's going to take me a while to wrap my head around that. How is that possible that my baby is now one?? 

Stats: 19 lb 8 oz (5%) 28.75 in (10%). 

Size 3 diapers, 12 months clothes.

Firsts: First time climbing a stair, first Iron Bowl and rolling Toomers after! First time walking by yourself, first SEC Championship- we won! First time to Genghis Grill... you loved it! First Christmas and all that goes along with it- Eve, Candle light service, presents, etc.

Milestones: WALKING! We are thrilled that you decided to take up walking before your first birthday! You cruised around for so long we weren't sure if you would ever make the transition! 

Food & Sleep: Same as last month! Except, you're getting more picky.  

Our days: Same as last month! 

Favorites: Mommy & Daddy's favorite is that you can walk. It makes you seem very, very old!  

Nicknames: Cam, CamMan, CammyCam, Buddy, CamTron

Oh what a wonderful year it has been! You have truly brought us so much joy we can hardly stand it! You've come from a helpless little baby to a semi-independent, happy little boy! I wish you could stay young forever or atleast slow down please!! We love you sweet thing! And can't wait to see you be the best big brother this next year!!!

Christmas 2013.

We were so blessed to get to spend so much time with family this Christmas season! Matthew took the whole week of Christmas off so we headed out on Saturday night toward Birmingham! We enjoyed having some chill time with the fam the few days before Christmas! I was so excited to make Cameron's first Christmas a fun one!

On Christmas Eve we spent the morning playing and enjoying the day! Cameron was in a fabulous mood and was so fun! 

We had a ridiculous amount of presents under the tree!

Late afternoon we headed toward Shades for the Christmas Eve Candle Service! We hadn't been to a Christmas Eve service in quite some time, so we were excited to go! Cameron did great for the most part but Cece took him to the back right at the end! 

After the service we hurried over to Nan and Daddy Butch's house for dinner and Palmer family fun! I think Cam enjoyed his first Christmas Eve!  

Cameron got to open his first Christmas presents... one from Will and one from Nan and Daddy Butch. He loved his new book and slide!!!

We put Cameron down for bed while we were there in the pack n play and played Dirty Santa with the adults! Soo much fun as usual! When we went back to the Watford's house we put him in his pj's and took some pictures by the tree before we had the "sleepy" look! 

Cameron was up at his normal time, bright and early Christmas morning! He did some playing and eating before everybody was up and ready to do presents! He opened the one from us first! He was not into opening the gifts at all- maybe next year!

Cousin Tucker was sick, but we were so glad he started feeling better!

On Thursday we were off to Huntsville for some Christmas celebration Thaxton style! Unfortunately Cameron started getting sick that morning and was just not quite himself for most of the rest of the trip! Just not as smiley and happy as he normally is! Pappy and Gig were happy to have us anyways!

Saturday morning we had our "Christmas morning" and all woke up and got going pretty early! (Things are so different when you have little kiddos!) It was fun having everyone together to celebrate!

Tatum and Caroline were wanting to crawl when Cam started to!

We ended our Christmas celebration with a yummy Christmas lunch/dinner! So glad Charlie could join us too :)

And I'm not going to lie... I do love when Christmas drags out a bit! And this year it did!! After Christmas with the Thaxton's, on Sunday we got to do "Christmas" with Grandmother & Grandaddy and Mammaw! So blessed I tell you :)

So if you couldn't tell... this Watford family had an extremely wonderful and festive Christmas season! So happy to spend so much time with all the people we love!! Cameron had a great first Christmas and I couldn't be more thankful!
