13 Weeks.

Baby W is about the size of a 3 inch peach!

How far along? 13 weeks!! Bye bye first trimester!!!

Total weight gain? -3 lbs

Maternity clothes? None yet. But pants that were slightly tight on me before getting pregnant are very uncomfortable now! Can I just wear Nike shorts everyday?!

Stretch marks? No stretching going on here!

Sleep? Loving it!! Slept 12 hours this past Friday! Hate waking up to go to the restroom, but I know it will only get worst!

Best moment last week? Baby W got to experience the Lady A concert with mama on Thursday night! And spending some sweet time with the other soon to be mama Meaghan- crib and fabric shopping!

Movement? I'm sure little Baby W is swimming all around in there :)

Food cravings? Chicken sandwiches! Lemonade! Popcorn!

Gender? NO idea!

Labor signs? Thankfully not!

Belly button in/out? In!

Missing? Dr Pepper! Cooking and enjoying what I cook!

Looking forward to? Going to meet sweet Caroline next weekend (We're hoping for her arrival on Tuesday!) Getting some energy!!

Milestones? Making it to the second trimester!

12 Weeks.

Baby W is around the size of a plum this week!

How far along? 12 weeks, it's flying by!

Total weight gain? -3 lbs

Maternity clothes? Not yet... I own one maternity shirt, can't wait to get to where I need it!

Stretch marks? Nothing is stretching yet!

Sleep? Hmm, lets see... I want to sleep ALL the time! I can't get enough. Week 11 hit me like a ton of bricks! And I'm still catching up!

Best moment last week? We went to the doctor last Monday (the 11th) and got to hear Baby Watford's strong heartbeat! It was amazing, and so comforting to know that our little baby is growing strong and healthy!

Movement? Nothing I can feel!

Food cravings? Not much! My appetite is slowly returning! I can always go for a BK cherry icee... but I'm trying to eat lots of fruits and veggies!

Gender? All I hear people saying is GIRL. I'm not one of those people that right when I got pregnant I had a "feeling" of what I was having. So, no clue!

Labor signs? Nope, nope.

Belly button in/out? In, give me a little time.

Missing? Having energy, staying up late, and drinking sweet tea! 

Looking forward to? To meet my sweet new niece, Caroline, this week maybe!! Tatum and Caroline will be such great cousins for Baby Watford!

Milestones? Hearing the heartbeat!

It's been so fun to receive some sweet gifts from sweet family for our "gender neutral" child (for the moment)! The Watfords gave me some sweet baby books for my birthday and my cousin April and her husband Dustin gave us some useful items when we got to see them last week! We are very blessed to have such wonderful family to support us through every step of the way!

MIA.

Did you notice? I've been completely MIA since I broke the baby news. Well that may tell you a little bit about how my life is going. I'm tired 90% of the time. Not like, Oh yeah I'm kind of tired... like OMG I'm about to fall over asleep!

Pregnancy has been pretty good to me so far I think. I had about 3 intense nauseous weeks. The rest has consisted of fatigue, lack of appetite, and having an upset stomach a lot! I feel like I can't complain too much though! I feel blessed, to say the least!

Well, lots and lots has been going on. May and into June always proves to be busy busy.

Over Memorial Day Weekend we all headed to Florida for some R&R down in Blake and Katherine's neck of the woods. It was wonderful. I love love love getting to spend time with my whole family. We couldn't believe that it worked out for everyone to make it. It was so fun to enjoy this special time with Blake and Katherine before little Caroline makes her entrance! We had a great time enjoying some sun and just having fun together. I wish it was a longer vaca but we will just have to wait till next year for that. {when we are +1}

The fam was so sweet to shower me with some birthday love while were down at the beach! It was a great start to my birthday week.

AND if you know me you know I loveeee birthdays. So on that Wednesday my birthday day had come around. This was a first for me because I have never worked or had school on my birthday in my entire life. Helllllloooo to the real world. Nah, it wasn't too bad.

My fabulous coworkers made it much more enjoyable at work! For one thing I happen to work with a birthday twin of mine! They got us balloons, cookie cake, Chickfila for breakfast and sweet gifts!

Then that night me and Matthew went to Olive Garden for dinner and went to see What to Expect when Expecting... OMG like my favorite movie!! It was so fantastic, I laughed and I cried and I laughed some more!! And I can't forget what my sweet hubby got me for my bday!! My long awaited Silhouette!!

I'm in love!! I've had so much fun playing already and can't wait to take on so much more with it :)

SO, I guess we are all caught up! Matthew's birthday is a short three days away. Can't wait to celebrate!!!

And just to inform ya... I'm planning to start my baby updates on my 12 weeks! Thats one week from tomorrow!! We have a doctors appointment tomorrow, can't wait!!

OH, and one of my best friends got married!

Oh baby.

{April 27th} The plan was to wait till Friday. A whole week of waiting. This would make me 5 days late.

Thankfully it wasn't too painful because I'm reallllly good at being a debbie-downer {ask my hubby!}. Convincing myself... "it doesn't happen that fast!"

During my lunch break I ran by CVS to get a pregnancy test {yeahhh, they were on sale}. Our deal has always been we wouldn't take one unless we were together. So, more waiting. 

5 o'clock finally came around, finally! The whole drive home it was in the back of my mind, but I continued to do a great job on convincing myself it couldn't be!

Straight to the bathroom I went when I walked in the door. Those results come quick ya know? I immediately said "Oh, Matthew." He didn't know if that was a happy or sad remark! With a quick "come in" he joined me in the bathroom and we looked in disbelief! 

Then there were tears, hugs and kisses. And then hubby ran around the room- literally! Up and around and on the bed... nuts! It was surreal. 

Then came the camera and pictures. Then a celebration dinner to cheap Chinese at the mall. It was perfectly wonderful.

{April 28th} The next day we headed to Huntsville {Thankfully this was already planned!}. Mom, dad, Liz, and Mammaw were going to be getting in late- like midnight late. So we figured we would feel it out and decide weather to tell them that night or the next day after church. When they commented Liz and Mammaw were heading back to AU fairly early I knew we had to get it done! I told mom we would go ahead and give her an early Mother's Day gift. So I ran in the other room to grab a Gigi's cupcake and an AU bib for dad. I watched mom struggle to open the Gigi's box. I was SOOO anxious. When she just about had it opened I threw the bib at dad. They looked at their tags in disbelief. Dad's said "Baby Watford loves Pappy!" and mom's said "Baby Watford loves Gigi!" Then there were hugs and tears. Are you seeing a trend here? We ended up staying awake till 1:30 am. You know if Mammaw stays up that late- somethings up!!

{April 29th} Sunday before heading out of town we went to Wade & Amy's house to surprise them! I told them we got a little something for Tatum... we just couldn't help it :) She pulled out a cute little outfit and commented about it. I said there's a card in the bottom. She read it and shrieked! Wade was on the other side of the room and was completely confused! Tatum was a little shaken up after mommy gave a scream! {haha} Then there were more hugs!

When we got back to B'ham we had arranged to bring Mike & Cathy a "workout gift" since we were soo proud that they were starting Insanity. Right when we were about to hand the gifts to them Mike says, "Did yall bring us a baby?" Wayy to ruin the surprise there Pops! {ha} They opened them and it took a second to process and then Cathy screamed! Then there were tears and hugs. 

We got to call Michael & Stacy and Meaghan {Brandon was out of town} and share our happy news. Meaghan was really excited to be an aunt since it will be her first time :) I'm so excited our babies will be so close in age. It's going to be so fun! {She is due Nov. 26th} And then we skyped with Blake and Katherine. I got her to show us around their new place and they were super surprised! I told Katherine I was so happy to get to be pregnant at the same time as her, even if its just 2 months {She is due June 27th}

SOOO, if you got through all of that: WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!

Symptoms so far. Initially for about the first two weeks I was super fatigued all day every day! Since then I've had the occasional morning and/or night sickness- mostly just anytime I'm stubborn and don't eat often enough. As long as I eat something small basically every two hours I feel pretty good.

We feel extremely blessed in everything thus far. God is great!

We had our first doctor's appointment on May 8th. We were super anxious and ready to go to get that initial confirmation that everything we were experiencing was indeed true! Well we had an ultrasound and we got to see our precious little grain of rice. That heart was beating so strong- such a blessing. My doctor confirmed that all looked normal and we are on our way! We go back on June 11th for blood work and to hopefully hear the heart beat! Little baby Watford has some growing to do :)

So as of today I am 7 weeks and 2 days. Our little blueberry is forming ears and limbs as we speak! Me and Matthew look forward to the weeks and months ahead as we prepare to welcome this precious little one into our lives. We are beyond excited!!

Yes, I often call my mom my mamasita :) I loveee her and cannot say enough wonderful things about this lovely lady!! Also, I have a super mother in law. I'm truly blessed by both of these ladies!

SOOOO, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! All you moms are great :) You make this world such a better place! Love, love, love.

One Year.

I absolutely cannot believe that one year ago {from last Monday} I got to marry my best friend.

This past year has truly been the best of my life. Matthew has been the biggest encouragement and blessing in my life on a daily basis. I knew that my heavenly Father had a sweet man for me somewhere and I'm so glad he brought him into my life in His perfect timing. What a blessing!

Welllll sorry, no fun trip to report on- since we are quite budget strapped here lately we decided to celebrate with something kind of more sentimental!

On Tuesday we both got off work early and met up to head to Montgomery. We decided we would go to Sinclair's- the restaurant Matthew took me on our first date! {We planned to go bowling too, since we also did that on Feb. 8th 2010, buttttt we canceled last minute on that!}

It was nice and relaxing to have that uninterrupted quality time in the car and then a yummy dinner!

 

On the way home we stopped by Peach Park in Clanton and had some ice cream for dessert! YUM!

I look forward to every day waking up beside Matthew and learning to love him more!

HIGH FIVE- It's Friday!!
I've been waiting for you all week Friday! So glad you have finally come to hang out!

#1. Last weekend! It was such a fun time! I felt like it had been quite a while since we had been to Hunstville. It was so wonderful to just be there!
#2. Overtime! I have mixed emotions on this one! It's great because I get paid more and extra and I also got free lunch twice this week {yum!} Buttttt, it kinda sucks because I'm tired. I need a lunch break people!
#3. Crafts! I've been working on my chalkboard silver trays! I'm so excited to get them done and all hung up!!

#4. Bible study! I literally felt like it had been FOREVER since I had been with the girls so it was so wonderful to catch up {and have some quality time with sweet little Parker!}

#5. Sunny sunny! It's been so sunny and wonderful! I love and prefer the warm weather!
