Favorite 10 of 2015.

Favorite 10 of 2013.
I know I say this every year I post a favorite 10... but really, what a blessed, blessed year it has been. The Lord has been good and is so faithful in all that we do and accomplish! Thankful for that!!

#10. Gatlinburg mini vacation.
We had such a blast taking our little family to Gatlinburg just for a night. We've never done anything vacation like with just our little family (and definitely not as a family of 4). So we really enjoyed this special time together even if it just involved Redneck downtown Gatlinburg, shopping, eating, and a little time by the pool!

#9. Auburn football.
This is just always on my list. Our family loves loves all things Auburn, not just the football... so that makes it extra special when we get to head to our favorite city, with two cute babies in tow, for the weekend. There's not much better than a Saturday filled with tailgating and then a warm evening in Jordan Hare watching our Tigers!

#8. Thanksgiving on the farm.
We had the extra treat of celebrating Thanksgiving with our Watford family on the (Scott) Palmer farm. The kids loved the open spaces and animals. The hay ride was a personal fave. If it would have been a tiny bit warmer it would have been perfect.

#7. Mammaw's wedding.
Our dearest 78 year old Mammaw got married to her love, Bob Smith, mid July. We were so happy to celebrate our Mammaw being so happy! They are one of the most active 75+ couples I know. Lots of nights out for shows and dinners. We so enjoyed having all of the Thaxton fam together!

#6. New family.
This year we got to add more family! Every year it just keeps getting better and better. Sweet Sullivan James joined Blake, Katherine, & Caroline in Florida in early September! He is just the perfect addition and we loved meeting him this fall and getting to know him at Christmas. Another sweet baby, Ellie Palmer, joined Brandon, Meaghan, & Tucker in Ohio in late September. She is just the cutest and a really perfect little cousin for Cameron and Rylin.

#5. Family moves to Nashville.
One big highlight this year, obvious since its #4 huh?!, is having family in Nashville with us! We love love having both Curtis families in town. Kendrick, Kathy, Margaret, and Madeline literally live a couple miles down the road. And Dustin, April, and Emmaline came in May (even stayed at our house for a week or two) and live fairly close in Smyrna!

#4. Cameron turned 2.
I don't know how it is possible that our first child is two. He is a joy to have around, although I see those terrible two's come out to play every once and awhile. He loves all things transportation: trains, planes, cars, and trucks! He's so silly and is typically very sweet to his little sister. We skipped out on a party this year but enjoyed spending time with family around the holidays to celebrate.

#3. Homeowners.
We became real grown ups in February and bought our first home. To say we have enjoyed it would be an understatement. It truly has made Nashville home for us.

#2. Third anniversary.
We made it to number 3. I can't even begin to describe what this marriage and this man means to me. He holds it all together for me. He handles my craziness like a pro! The first three years is just a teeny tiny glimpse of what is to come for us. We look forward in anticipation.

#1. Rylin Elaine Watford.
On May 12th our life changed for the better. Our sweet little first girl, Rylin Elaine, joined our family... making us a happy little family of four. She's just the sweetest.

Favorite 10 of 2013.

I know I say this every year I post a favorite 10... but really, what a blessed, blessed year it has been. The Lord has been good and is so faithful in all that we do and accomplish! Thankful for that!!

#10. Roadtrip to Ohio.
We had such a fun time heading up to Columbus, Ohio in July for Freddy and Leah's wedding! Matthew was a groomsmen and gave us a great excuse to go! We literally had not been anywhere just the three of us so we jumped at the chance for a little family vacay!

#9. The Last Roll at Toomer's Corner.
Back in April we headed to Auburn to see our new coach and tigers play in the annual A-day game! We just thought this year might be something special ;) Well of course we attended the Last Roll at Toomer's Corner after the game! It was the last time the Auburn family gathered to roll the actual Toomer's trees before they removed them. {They now have AU's and wires hanging from the light poles at Toomer's that they roll now.}

#8. Being a family of three.
Oh what a new experience this has been! It's truly been a blessing to experience life as a family of three. I'm so in love with my two guys and all they bring to my life.

#7. First Mother's Day.
On May 12th I got to experience my first Mother's Day! It made it even more special because it was also the day of "Baby dedication" at Shades! It was such a blessing to be prayed over as parents on this special day! I look forward to the days of homemade crafts in the future :)

#6. Thaxton Family Beach Vacation.
We had a great trip down to Fort Morgan with the Thaxton crew at the end of June through the beginning of July! While we were there we got to celebrate Gigi's 50th birthday and just soak up some family time! Although vacations are way different now having a little one, it was still super fun!

#5. Move to Nashville/Matthew's new job.
Late July Matthew interviewed in Nashville, TN with Parallon and was offered the job a few days later. They needed him quick so within the next two weeks we had packed up in Birmingham and landed in Nashville for a new life. Matthew loves his new job and is thriving there and we are still continuing to adjust to this Tennessee life. In all things we are thankful for the Lord's hand being in each and every detail!

#4. Auburn football.
We continue to love our Auburn Tigers! It's been a different fall this year since we were closer to 6 hours from the Loveliest Village rather than the quick 2 hour drive we enjoyed last fall. Even so we managed to make it two several games and enjoy the season! We were thrilled to share this with our CamMan. We were absolutely thrilled with our awesome turn-around season we had! Going from 3-9 one year to 12-1 and playing in the National Championship game was pretty amazing! War Eagle!

#3. Second Anniversary.
Can you believe it has already been two years (now 2 1/2) that me and my man have been married. It seems like so long but also like no time at all. I absolutely love doing life with Matthew. He makes me laugh, keeps me grounded, and supports me in all I do. He has been an awesome dad too! Can't believe we will hit three years in 2014. Can't wait!!

#2. Cameron's First Birthday.
On December 26th we got to celebrate our little boy's first birthday. It blows us away that he is one already! Can't believe he has grown and changed so much in this past year! So thankful for our Cam-Tron!

#1. Baby Number Two.
Back at the beginning of September we found out that we are expecting our sweet baby #2. We couldn't be more excited to have another little join our family. It's going to be so fun to have little siblings and see them grow up together! May 18th can't come soon enough!!

The biggest Iron Bowl.

Iron Bowl Eve us Thaxton's headed up to Samford to take a family picture. It's not every day that we have every member of our family together.

We are a big Auburn loving family :)

{the original Thaxton cousins}

Iron bowl Saturday. They built this to be the Biggest Iron Bowl ever. #1 Alabama was coming to play #4 Auburn in Jordan-Hare. Fighting for the SEC West division championship and the spot to go play for the SEC championship, with hopes of going to play in the National Championship. We, as Auburn fans, felt like we had an incredible come back season. Overcoming all the odds against us. Coming into the Iron Bowl in the last week of November with one loss to a ranked LSU team early in the season. Auburn fans were jacked. After all we had endured the past year, just being "in" this game would be huge. But most of us did hope that maybe, just maybe our guys would come to play and beat the bamers. I couldn't help but comment to fellow Auburn fans, "War Eagle, see you at Toomers!"

We started our day on campus at the tailgate. Fun people and yummy food and lots of AUBURN :)

After the tailgate the boy's headed to the stadium to cheer on our Tigers and the girls headed home to put the babies to sleep and watch the game on tv! The game was a fun one. We had moments that were awesome and others when I was dying to yell at the tv! Alabama begged for a second to be put on the clock to take the lead with a long field goal. After having missed 3 of their previous field goals, we had a little hope that this one would go our way too. As the kick went up we saw it would be short, ahhhh a sigh of relief.... but wait our own Chris Davis was in the end zone to try and return it. And return it he did. It was AWESOME!!! We all jumped up and down and screamed!!! And then ran around to find our shoes and head to Toomers :)

Ahhhh, we were a happy happy family Saturday night. Excited for a year of Auburn being on top :) And now we are just pumped to be playing another game this Saturday... Beat Missouri!

Thanksgiving.

I'm really so glad there is a time of year to make you think of all you have to be thankful. I know that I personally often say, "I am blessed and so thankful," but I rarely spend time of all that the Lord has blessed me and my family with. He is truly good.

This year was Cameron's first Thanksgiving... just to make it a little more special. I'm extremely thankful for my little turkey and his crazy self! He has blessed me these past 11 months in more ways than I could have ever thought.
I was happy this year to head to Birmingham on Wednesday afternoon to spend the evening and night with the Watford family. It's always nice to be able to see both sides of the family during holiday time! Thursday morning we loaded up and headed for Auburn to meet up with the whole extended Thaxton family as well as Grandmother, Grandaddy, and Allen on the Martin side.
We spent the afternoon and evening at Mammaw's, just soaking in some fun family time! Cameron loves to be around everyone once he gets warmed up!

{Daddy didn't feel well and just chilled all day! Silly sinus'}
I had to get some special "first Thanksgiving" pictures of my little turkey!

I talked everyone in to having everyone sit together for dinner. We usually split between the two rooms but I really wanted everyone to be together. Although we had little elbow room it was well worth it!

After dinner we played a silly game of White Elephant. It was so entertaining! Instead of buying individual gifts we decided to have everyone bring something funny that they already had at home. Turned out great :) I was pretty proud that our gift was the first gift to retire (An Auburn gnome!). I ended up with a Wacky Waker... an alarm clock that quacks like a duck!

After the game Cameron's awesome great aunts and uncle gave him his Christmas gifts! His first Christmas gifts :)

After the kiddos opened we all gave our joint gift to Mammaw, a pretty picture of the Toomer's Oaks!

After everything at Mammaw's... me, Katherine, and Amy loaded up and headed to Walmart and Target for some black friday deals. We did pretty good and it was a lot of fun :)

Once again I am so thankful for all that the Lord has blessed me and my family with.
