Cameron: 15 months.

Somehow we are already to Cameron's 15 month date. Time is literally flying by as we are preparing for baby Rylin to arrive but also enjoying these sweet, fun moments with our sweet boy.

Stats: 24 lbs (45%) 30.5 in (25%)

I think Cameron has changed significantly since his first birthday. He seems SO old to me now. He has such a big personality- usually used for good... flirting, loving, being sweet; but also sometimes for throwing a good fit for not getting what he wants. He has started saying some words. I would say he consistently says dada, mama, ball, bye bye, no, yeah. With some convincing he will sometimes say baby, please (which comes out more like cheese), something similar to "thank you," sometimes Gigi/Cece,  and I'm sure there's a few more. He loves to give sweet kisses by smacking his lips together when asked for a kiss (most likely my favorite thing he is doing now!). Cameron LOVES to be outside.  He will let you know he is not a happy camper if you try to bring him in before he is ready. He still loves to eat but is a bit on the picky side still- who's surprised there?! His favorites are bananas, chicken nuggets, most fruits, spaghetti, oatmeal mixed with applesauce, and yogurt. Most everything else is hit or miss... we have got to work on him eating more veggies! We have been in a transition for naps lately. I think we have settled on one nap a day. He typically wakes up between 6:30-7 and we try to get him to nap around 12:30 to (in my ideal world) 3:30. Then he's in bed for the night between 7-8. I love my awesome night sleeper though!! We enjoy having some social time at Stroller Strides 3 times a week. All of the older kids love "baby Cameron" and want him to play with them! Sometimes Cam isn't so sure about these big kids. He's doing well at church, still cries when we initially drop him off but quits and has fun after that!

In the past few months we enjoyed celebrating Cameron's second Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. I had a blast dressing Cam in his cute, festive shirts! (He is in the hard to capture a clear picture stage!!) Looking forward to Easter next month!

We also FINALLY got to get Cameron's 12 month pictures made! Now, we still haven't gotten them in hand yet just seen these peeks but progress none the less.

We really have just so enjoyed seeing Cameron become a little boy. Sometimes he does something and I just think, goodness he's not my little baby anymore! I know more and different challenges come with every age but I am definitely enjoying this stage! Looking forward to see him transition to a big brother. I'm hoping he will be young enough that we won't have to worry about an jealousy issues.

Looks like I will be posting about Rylin's arrival and birth before posting again about Cam (at 18 months!) Did I mention time is flying?!

Be my Valentine.

You know Valentines is the biggest holiday in all things blogs! Can't help it... you know deep down all girls love them a mushy-gushy day to celebrate! Last year was wonderful, we celebrated our first Valentines as a married couple... well it get's even better than that! This year I got to have TWO lovies to love on :)

First off, I got to spend my whole day with this little guy.

How can you not love all of that? Let me just tell you, he was a wonderful little Valentine. We had a great day of chilling and napping..

He may have gotten pretty spoiled from the family. Lots and lots of goodies!

Love my little man so much :)

Next, there's this guy. Love him, lots.

We waited till Monday to do some celebrating. {Matthew's bball team was in the middle of the end of the year tournament- so obviously a man scheduled that.} Yeah, so since he wasn't getting home till after 7 pm we decided to hold off.
It was worth the wait.

My sweet boy got me flowers, from the florist! He brought me a super sweet card and some chocolate. We took Cameron to Matthew's parents {free babysitter!!} and headed to PF Changs! We had a giftcard so it was delishhh and cheap! He also told me I can go get a manicure :) I'm very excited for that!

Matthew got some yummy heart brownies! I have such a chocolate lover on my hands!
So another Valentines has been recorded in the book. Such a fun time of year!!

High Five for Friday.

Photobucket

1. All things Valentines. Including my wonderful Valentine:
{even though he is a goob}

2. Making our bed cozy and welcoming like this:

3. Laughing. I made 4 big ole mistakes this week in my cooking. Which resulted in one meal that wasn't edible. :) Glad hubby will laugh with me and then order us a pizza!

4. Baking successes. It's only right to say something I did right after sharing the negative details! Made some delicious cupcakes and blondie brownies. YUM!

5. Winning 2nd runner up in the "You Had Me at War Eagle" contest through AuburnArt :) We will see what our prize is once we get it in the mail. Ohhh, the anticipation!

Have a happy weekend, soak up the weather today.

Valentine's recap.

If reading blogs does one thing to a girl it is this: Obsession with all things Valentines- hearts, pink, red, goodies, flowers, decor. Sadly, my husband can agree that I have fallen for it.
SO true.

I started Monday night:

I got completely sucked in to making cute little tasty treats:

Decorating all around the house:

And of course hubby did a great job. Brought me a card and twizzlers Valentine's morning and lovely roses when he got home from work :)

I made sure hubby was completely sugared up. I snuck in the bathroom the night before and decorated the mirror with markers and gel hearts! Powdered donuts for breakfast. Card and snickers when he got home. And then we cooked a delicious steak dinner! YUM.

Valentine's is such a fun day. I love showing and telling my loved ones how much I love them!

High Five For Friday.

Linking up with From My Grey Desk today for my five this week. This will be my replacement for my Friday's Favorite Five! It's more fun to link up :)

#5. Countdown!
It's only four short days till the big day. Everyone have their plans finalized?! Maybe some early celebration this weekend, or waiting till next weekend- we hate Valentine's Day crowds!

#4. Bible Study with the sunday school girls! We didn't get much "studying" done but definitely needed to soak up some girl time!

#3. Chinese FOOD!
Typically we strive to not eat out more than once a week. This week was an exception because Matthew was out of town on Tuesday night! I got to fulfill my craving for some Chinese food! YUM! :) As an added bonus I got to slack off quite a bit this week with cooking!

#2. 9 months.
Enjoying a fun night at home with the hubs. 9 months is quite the accomplishment right?! :)

#1. Family time.
The fam come in town yesterday for an Elizabeth exchange! We went to Genghis Grill- so delish!!

#4. Lounge time
I don't have as much chill time at night now, I feel like we're going all the time! So it has been wonderful to have some down time in the afternoons!

#3. Bible study
We meet every other week with the girls from sunday school! We just love getting together and chatting it up- and going through our study!

#2. Kisses From Katie
I'm borrowing this book from my MIL and it is amazing! I'm only 5 chapters in and I can honestly say it's a must read!
#1. Date night
With my wonderful hubby! I love anytime we get to spend together!

Good, good week!

February 14.

Happy Valentines lovelys;

I needed a little Dave Barnes pick-me-up because my Valentine is no where to be found at the moment. Okay, he's just two hours away, but still lonely none the less! It did help slightly that I had 20 little kiddos giving me lots of chocolates and hugs today :)

Happy Valentines Matthew!
(our last one before getting to be married!)

One Sick Saturday.

Well, I guess we could say "one sick Summer." Since the cold weather has taken over and these kiddos at school decide to give away all their lovely germs I've been hit hard with just about everything. Last week I had an all too lovely stomach pain/virus and as soon as that started dying down I began to have throat issues... which so nicely turned into a 100.9 temp and aches, shivers, coughs and sniffles. Thankfully my fever has gone down and I'm able to "relax" semi-comfortably. I'll tell you what, I've sure made a day of it. I'm on my fourth movie :)

So on a much happier note, last weekend I got to go see my sweet sweet Tatum :)
She is the sweetest little thing ever.
Another update is that Matthew is gone. Left me and moved to Birmingham. What a horrid thought! It's been tough, but I'm making it. I'm hoping it will make the 84 days we have left FLY by!

So here's to February, and Valentines without my Valentine. March... hurry up and get here!

Day seven.

"Favorite movies"

My absolute favorite movie of all time is Pride and Prejudice. People think I am nuts, but I love to watch it with subtitles on. It already is a super humorous movie but when you see all the extra stuff you can't even hear it makes it great!

Matthew surprised me on our first Valentines by sneaking it out of my house and having us watch it at our "stay in" date. He even let me watch it with subtitles ♥

My other top movies are Step Up (1&2), Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, and the Italian Job... just to mention a few.

A Day of Love.

Saturday me and Matthew went out to celebrate one happy year and Valentines! He surprised me and took me to Hamilton's in downtown Auburn and to see When in Rome at the theater, and to end a great night at Applebees for dessert. Now I can't forget that he showed up at my door with a single rose and two (count it!) box of chocolates! We ended the night by coming back to my house and watching the Olympics (which I am obsessed with and will get to later)
Valentines went off almost without a hitch. Well, it was great until I got home. The fun part of the day included going to sunday school and then heading to B'ham with Matthew, Blake, and Katherine! We met mom, dad, Liz, Amy, Wade and the Watford fam at Cracker Barrel. It was delicious and us college students got loaded up with treats and Valentines goodies. We also got a few pretty fun memorable pictures taken.
Matthew was a good sport- must have been some of my Valentine treat :) haha After lunch we loaded back up and headed back towards Auburn. Got home and laid down- I was so tired. After a little while I called up mom to discuss the afternoon, uh oh I was in break down mode. No worries though, I survived. I decided I needed some comfort food and a Valentine treat for myself so I went and picked up some Pandas. If you know me you know I'm in LOVE with that place- oh how appropriate for V-day! Later I went to watch Matthew's intramural basketball team play- they won and I thought they played great. Oh the fun-ness of the day just keeps coming. When I got home I had been texting Mom and I called her. If you could take some time and say a little prayer for my sister Elizabeth that would be awesome. She's going through some not fun stuff (stupid boy) and I want, as she wants too, for her to just get over this boy. I know she'll get through it, because our God is so good!
Okay, so to my addiction- the Olympics. Ever since Friday night when the pre-coverage for the opening ceremonies I have been clued to the Tv. (Of course this was no help last night when I needed to be studying!) I don't care what sport is on, I'll watch it and I'll get into it! My absolute favorite is speed skating (Apollo Anton Ohno)- I could just sit and watch that for forever. One of my things to do on my bucket list is to go to an Olympic sporting event! Ahh, tell me you love it as much as I do. I feel like we should have an Olympic Party!!
